JISC and Gale bring the FE Community key Electronic Reference Materials to your Desktop

JISC and Gale are to provide every FE and Sixth Form College in the UK a core collection of 21 eBook titles, which have been specially selected in collaboration with the JISC Working Groups for eBooks, Learning Materials and the FE Community. JISC has purchased this core collection on behalf of the community, with the content from this resource available to those institutions for just £65 per year, payable to Gale. This represents outstanding value for money when you consider that it would normally cost each institution more than £5,000 for a single copy of each of the 21 titles (representing a total of 63 volumes) in this resource.

This is a unique opportunity for every library to offer students and teachers a comprehensive collection of reference materials in electronic format, across a wide range of subject and curriculum areas including Arts and Humanities, Child Care studies, Fashion, Business and Finance, Tourism and much more. This special offer is available for all FE institutions from August 1st 2004.

With Gale Virtual Reference Library (FE) you can:

  • Access a comprehensive collection of reference materials 24/7, with unlimited usage
  • Expand this collection, add more eBooks, and customize and build your Virtual Library, at your own pace and within your own budget
  • Search within a single eBook or an entire collection
  • Save your previous research on an embedded InfoMark to get to the selected eBook
  • Email and print articles from your eBooks

Gale Virtual Reference Library (GVRL) is powered by InfoTrac, Gale’s intuitive interface with its familiar functionalities.

To take full advantage of this offer and the specially selected eBook collection, all you need to do is to request a trial or place your order.
