This online database was created from The National Archives, Kew and is an essential research tool for anyone studying the Middle East. It contains over 200,000 pages of text and images on the politics, administration, wars and diplomacy of the Palestine Mandate and the Arab-Israeli conflict.
The content has been edited by a team of experts led by Dr. Eugene Rogan, Director of the Middle East Centre, St. Antony’s College, Oxford. The types of materials included are correspondence, maps, dispatches, memoranda, acts, sessional papers, protocols, reports and press-cuttings. The fully-searchable database has been sourced from the British Cabinet Office, Colonial Office, Prime Minister’s Office, War Office and more.
